Kerr: Vic Fangio will get Broncos r16;over that humpr17;The Denver Broncos made some splashy moves in the first week of free agency, but an underrated pick-up could be the re-signing of interior defensive lineman Zach Kerr to a two-year deal. In the interview above on First and 10 at 10 on Orange & Blue 760, Kerr noted that the big thing he wants to work on is his interior pass rushing. One of the primary factors to re-signing with the team was new head coach Vic Fangio. Kerr alluded to that in both the interview on Wednesday and also in his presser. His relationship with the players on defensive line was one of the biggest factors. Changing the culture is important to Kerr and now he has a deal in place to attack that goal with his teammates. With Fangio, it comes down to accountability and hard work. Kerr noted that the old school style is something that fits well with him and the other guys in that locker room. Listening to his interview was a breathe of fresh air and when its backed up by the responses he had during his presser earlier in the week has to give us all a little bit to be excited about heading into the 2019 regular season. So how ugly was the Broncos performance against the Raiders? Itr17;s the Raiders, screw draft position its a lottery ticket at best regardless. 2. Just lose, baby.3. Ir17;m just here so I wonr17;t get fined. How it goes, it goes.These debates turned into a QB discussion, which got me thinking that its probably time I finally start digging into the 2019 QB crop to see whatr17;s really out there. Normally I put off college scouting until after the seasonr17;s over, but its been over for a couple weeks now in all reality. Would this team be better if they had kept Trevor Siemian? I started this Karl Mecklenburg Jersey , but I swear I wasnr17;t trolling. Right after Keenum threw his first pick I thought about that huge cap number and wondered if $20 million would have been better spent on keeping Aqib Talib or signing a safety to play over Darian Stewart (like Eric Reid whor17;s playing for less than $1.5 million). Easy to say what if now and Keenum has been markedly better than Siemian, but 20 times better is a bit of a stretch at best.You donr17;t need to pay franchise money to see a guy throw into triple coverage. Luckily the Keenum deal only runs for one more season and itr17;s beyond likely that the veteran will serve as little more than a bridge to a rookie next year. Therer17;s been talk of Flacco out there but I canr17;t see Elway eating $10 million to give another $15 M+ to a QB whor17;s average at best. Still, 15 touchdowns to 12 interceptions and two 30-year old Hall of Fame talents may push the Duke to make a big move for a signal caller. Woof. Will Elway can Joseph on Christmas? I put the odds at 10%, but that could be optimistic considering the short week.
