The sweet-swinging Cleveland Indians are taking their show on the road after one successful homestand.

Edwin Encarnacion hit an eighth-inning grand slam Authentic Derrius Guice Jersey , helping the Indians rout the Detroit Tigers 12-2 on Sunday for their season-high seventh straight win.

Francisco Lindor, Jose Ramirez and Jason Kipnis also connected for Cleveland, which outscored Detroit 26-3 in the three-game sweep. Ramirez finished with three hits, extending his streak of reaching base to 31 consecutive games.

r1;Everybodyr17;s doing their part,r1; Encarnacion said. r1;The top of the lineup, the bottom of the lineup. Everythingr17;s going great.r1;

Adam Plutko (4-1) pitched six innings of two-run ball, becoming the second rookie starter to beat the Tigers in the series. Shane Bieber pitched seven innings in Friday nightr17;s 12-0 win.

Tigers starter Matthew Boyd (4-6) allowed a season-high six runs in three-plus innings in his shortest outing of the season.

Detroit has lost five straight overall and is 3-10 against Cleveland this season.

r1;Theyr17;re hot, theyr17;re swinging the bats good, and they jumped on us early again today,r1; Detroit manager Ron Gardenhire said. r1;The ball is flying here now.r1;

The Indians have outscored their opponents 54-9 during their win streak. They open a nine-game road trip Monday night in St. Louis.

r1;Wer17;re having a lot of fun,r1; Encarnacion said.

Cleveland had the game in hand when it added five more runs in the eighth. Kipnis hit a leadoff drive against Artie Lewicki. Lindorr17;s single and a double by Michael Brantley put runners on second and third.

Ramirez was intentionally walked and Encarnacion followed with a drive to right for his 11th career grand slam.

r1;When Edwin swings like that, it has to make them think twice,r1; Indians manager Terry Francona said. r1;Then when they pitch around somebody, you love to see it hurt the other team. And you can tell Edwin was really bearing down there.r1;

Niko Goodrum and James McCann had RBI singles for Detroit in the fourth.

ADD AN O TO OHIO

The Tigers have lost all nine games they have played in the state of Ohio this season. Detroit was swept in a four-game series at Progressive Field in April. The Tigers lost both games in Cincinnati this week before heading north. The Tigers return to Cleveland in September.

r1;They took it to us this weekend, therer17;s no doubt,r1; McCann said.

CANr17;T LOOK

Francona doesnr17;t enjoy certain parts of interleague games in NL parks, such as when his pitchers have to hit. Mike Clevinger, Corey Kluber and Bieber will be the starters in St. Louis.

r1;Theyr17;re doing things theyr17;re not used to, even running the bases,r1; Francona said. r1;Theyr17;re just not used to doing that during a game. Theyr17;re using different muscles, not that theyr17;re not in good shape but theyr17;re just doing different things. We definitely are holding our breath.r1;

BAD INNING

The eighth was difficult for Lewicki, who was hit on the right ankle by Lindorr17;s hard grounder to the mound. He remained in the game after a visit from Gardenhire and a team trainer, but gave up the grand slam before finally being pulled.

The right-hander allowed six runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings.

TRAINERr17;S ROOM

Tigers: RHP Drew VerHagen (broken nose) will not resume baseball activities for two weeks after being struck on the face with a throw from shortstop Jose Iglesias while covering first base Tuesday in Cincinnati.

Indians: RHP Carlos Carrasco will throw bullpen sessions this week to test his bruised elbow. He was struck by a line drive hit by Minnesotar17;s Joe Mauer on June 16.

UP NEXT

Tigers: RHP Jordan Zimmermann (2-0, 4.95 ERA) takes on Oakland at Comerica Park on Monday in the opener of a four-game series.

Indians: Clevinger (6-2, 3.00 ERA) pitches the series opener in St. Louis on Monday. RHP John Gant (1-2, 4.39 ERA) starts for the Cardinals.

Bostonr17;s offense showed why it is one of the best in baseball.

Rafael Devers, Jackie Bradley Jr. Authentic Justin Bethel Jersey , and Xander Bogaerts all homered and the Boston Red Sox routed the Seattle Mariners 9-3 on Sunday.

r1;Today we did an outstanding job finishing the game and we got the W,r1; Red Sox manager Alex Cora said. r1;We are a good team. We know how to play the game and we turn the page really quick.r1;

Deversr17; 11th homer of the season capped a five-run, two-out rally in the third against Seattle starter Mike Leake (7-4).

r1;They were making it tough today,r1; Leake said. r1;They werenr17;t giving me any breaks today.r1;

Andrew Benintendi and Bogaerts began Bostonr17;s rally with a pair of singles. J.D. Martinez drew a nine pitch walk to load the bases before Mitch Moreland drove in two with a single to centerfield, his first hit of the series, and Devers followed with a blast off the Hit It Here Cafe in right field to give Boston a 5-0 lead.

r1;Anytime you can put up a five spot in the inning, you are happy with it,r1; Moreland said. r1;That was a good inning for us.r1;

The Red Sox pulled away in the seventh against right-handed reliever Chasen Bradford, who gave up three runs and two homers while getting two outs.

Bradley Jr. sent Bradfordr17;s first pitch over the centerfield wall for his fourth home run this season. Benintendi hit his third single of the game with one out before Bogaerts put Boston ahead 8-2 with a shot into the bullpen in left centerfield, his 12th of the season and fourth of the series.

Facing left-hander Roenis Elias in the eighth, Benintendi extended Bostonr17;s lead to 9-2 with a sacrifice fly to center.

The Red Sox have hit three or more home runs 10 times this season, and are 36-7 when scoring five or more runs.

Boston starter Eduardo Rodriguez picked up his sixth straight win in as many starts, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out nine. Rodriguez (9-1) has allowed two or fewer runs in each of his starts during his winning streak, and the Red Sox are 13-1 in Rodriguezr17;s starts this season.

r1;It was really good,r1; Rodriguez said of his start. r1;All of my pitches were working. It was really great.r1;

The Mariners loaded the bases with no outs for the heart of their order against Rodriguez in the fifth, but managed just one run. Jean Segura cut Seattler17;s deficit to 5-2 with a fielderr17;s choice, but Seattler17;s rally was cut short following back-to-back fly outs from Mitch Haniger and Nelson Cruz.

r1;He had to work for it that fifth inning but he limited the damage,r1; Cora said. r1;. He did a good job. Good fastball. He was more aggressive in the strike zone.r1;

Cruz hit his 17th home run of the season in the fourth, sending a 3-2 fastball from Martinez 442 feet in to the upper deck in left field to trim Seattler17;s deficit to 5-1. Cruz has homered five times in his last nine games.

In the eighth, Ryon Healy doubled down the left field line, scoring Cruz to make it 9-3.

The Red Sox improved to 18-5 in series finales, and have won five straight day games on the road.

TRAINERr17;S ROOM

UP NEXT

Red Sox: Chris Sale (6-4, 2.75 ERA) takes the mound as the Red Sox continue their road trip against the Twins on Tuesday. Sale has allowed just one run in each of his last two starts and has nine starts this season allowing one or fewer earned runs.

Mariners: Marco Gonzales (7-3, 3.42) goes for his sixth win in as many starts when the Mariners begin a 10-game road trip against the Yankees on Tuesday. Gonzalez has allowed just six earned runs in his last six starts combined.
