On July 1st, Nike scheduled the release of a fairly run-of-the-mill Nike Air Max 1 Men/Women release as a tribute to the upcoming Independence Day holiday. The shoes were decorated in red, white, and blue with a custom tongue logo and an embroidered flag on the heel r11; one that was in use as far back as 1777. The thirteen stars, arranged in a circular manner, represented the original thirteen colonies and has long been considered a symbol of patriotism.
Nike has pulled back the curtain on Tinker Hatfieldr16;s process behind one of his most legendary products with their recently-revealed Nike Air Max 1 Shoes r0;Schematicr1; and r0;Sketch,r1; and now the former has appeared in a new black iteration. The shoer17;s dark base is accented with white lines to emphasize its hand-drawn nature, while Tinkerr17;s design notes, material instructions, and measurements appear dispersed over the upper, ranging from r0;Add U-Throatr1; on the toebox to r0;Lateral Viewr1; and r0;Medial Viewr1; on each sider17;s quarter.
Although the overall design ethos is very similar to the Cheap Nike Air Max 1 Schematic in white r12; as the shoes are, after all, telling the same story r12; the main differences arrive on the rear half. Pinstripe detailing adds texture around each collar, and the right shoe swaps out its regular Nike Air hit in favor of Tinkerr17;s signature and the date his design sketch was drawn: July 23rd, 1986. The look is then completed by a r0;Sample, Property Of Nike, Not For Resaler1; text graphic on the sockliner and a translucent outsole.
Niker17;s switched-around logo treatments are losing no steam as summer passes by and fall arrives. Buy Nike Air Max 1 After both the Air Max 95 and Air Max 97 received alternate takes in the past few weeks, a ladies-only Air Max 1 is next up for a logo remake. Featuring a supple black leather upper, the shoer17;s main embellishments arrive via nylon taping on the quarter panel and all-over white Swooshes on the black laces. Gone is the standard centered heel branding, replaced by a "Just Do It" logo hit on the left shoe and a repeating Swoosh/Air graphic on the right shoe. The look is then completed with a white midsole, black Air bubble, and black outsole.
After a sensory overload of the new and diverse, Nike brings it back to the basics with the Shop Nike Air Max 1, giving it a standard color blocking akin to the best of the OG. Though forgoing the usual Royal or Bright Reds, the forthcoming pair opts for earth tones in a sultry suede swatch, with adjacent accents gradually headings towards white from panel to panel. The smooth leathers are just slightly off-white with notes of a subtle tan, while mesh stays bereft of color, only showing off through its soft, woven textures.
